ARKAT USA, Inc.

ARKAT USA, Inc. is a not-for-profit entity designed to enhance chemical research worldwide and hence to benefit researchers, students, commercial and non-commercial enterprises and humanity in general by increasing opportunity and reducing waste of materials, time and effort. Although the chemical literature is snowballing, probably 90% of the research carried out is never published in the open, readily accessible literature; thus, the electronic age offers a real alternative.

ARKAT USA, Inc. supports the publication of chemical research on the web: www.arkat-usa.org. The journal ARKIVOC is completely free electronically to authors, librarians and readers whether academic or commercial. It will maintain its accessible services in perpetuity to all and provide a peer-reviewed electronic journal for the benefit of all researchers worldwide and thus for humanity. A print version is also planned, a prototype of which is available.

ARKIVOC (Archive for Organic Chemistry)

The journal ARKIVOC commenced in January 2000 and is freely available to all on the web at www.arkat-usa.org. ARKIVOC is now well-established as a completely free, electronic journal on our web site at www.arkat-usa.org. Our progress is illustrated by the following:
