Professor Gabor Bernath

We regret to report the passing of Professor Gabor Bernath of the University of Szeged in Hungary October 1, 2009. The society of organic chemists has lost one of its outstanding characters. He was a true school founder. He was honored with an Arkivoc commemorative issue in 2003.
